UPDATE — NOVEMBER 4, 2026, EVENING. The ABC7 Los Angeles live results display shows Gabriel Reyes and Stevevonna Evans at 1,109 votes each in Adelanto’s mayoral election, a tie in that broadcaster’s current snapshot. This supersedes the earlier 100-vote Evans lead described below for the ABC7 data feed only. NBC and other media may show different totals until their feeds synchronize. These are not certified results, and the San Bernardino County Registrar’s official portal is the primary source for the next published count. No winner is declared.
EARLIER MORNING SNAPSHOT — ADELANTO, November 4, 2026. The mayoral and City Council rankings have shifted during election-night counting. In the county’s final unofficial overnight count, Stevevonna Evans leads Gabriel Reyes by 100 votes; in the separate two-seat Council contest, Jayshawn Johnson has moved ahead of Amanda Uptergrove.
Mayor: Evans 1,562, Reyes 1,462
Evans has 1,562 votes (44.82%), Reyes 1,462 (41.95%), and Ronald Beard 452 (12.97%). This is a later count than the midnight report, which briefly showed Reyes leading, and the 2 a.m. report, which showed Evans ahead by 62 votes. It is not certification.
City Council: second seat flips
Voters chose two members. Angelo Meza holds 1,622 votes (35.58%), Jayshawn Johnson 1,468 (32.20%), and Amanda Uptergrove 1,448 (31.76%). Johnson now leads Uptergrove by 20 votes for the second seat in this snapshot. Earlier in the night Uptergrove led for that position, demonstrating how incomplete counts can reverse.
What 100% precincts means
All 16 Adelanto precincts submitted their election-night returns. That does not mean every eligible ballot has been included. California58 is preserving this article’s URL and correction history rather than publishing a second article with outdated rankings.
