ADELANTO — November 4, 2026. One of the High Desert’s closest school-board contests is in Adelanto Elementary School District’s Governing Board Area 2. The San Bernardino County final unofficial election-night report shows Toni Martika Rojas-Evitts with 802 votes and La Shawn V. Love-French with 780 — a margin of just 22 votes, or 50.44% versus 49.06% as published.
Three separate trustee areas
In Area 4, Lesley R. Tett is ahead with 722 votes to Christina Maria Steward’s 583. In Area 5, Destiny Sheree Hill leads with 393 votes, followed by Stephanie Kyer with 313 and Nikara M. Coleman with 157. These are distinct seats representing different areas of the elementary school district, rather than one at-large race.
What happens next?
The registrar lists all precincts reporting for the election-night snapshot, but that does not mean every ballot has been counted or any result certified. Close school-board counts deserve particular attention as remaining ballots are processed. The county says its next results update is expected November 5 by 6 p.m.
